WORKING WITH TECHNOLOGY
 


In our daily lives, to have computers, mobiles, tablets or any kind of new technology is very usual. The technology has become a useful tool for everybody and is difficult to find an area without technology, education not far behind.

Since I was 4 years old I always remember a computer in our classroom or a computer room in our school.  In the Basque Country I think that almost all schools have integrated technology on their plans. Because of this reality, for teachers to know how to use computers is an essential aspect. As we have seen in this class they are a lot of applications and programs that are useful for teachers to teach in a different way. There are a lot of opportunities to teach, for instance, at the distance, or to communicate and send homeworks. they are useful to work in a different way to, instead of been all the time in the class.

Taking an inspiration for the painting that I have chosen Marta Cárdenas painting.

Maria Cárdenas was born in 1944 in San Sebastian. She is a painter with an abstract style. She initiated in the portrait of open spaces and the study of motion through contemplation, among other exercises, the animals in the zoo of Madrid. The shapes and vivid colors in India were another of his sources of inspiration. His art remained within figuration until 90's.

My activity to do with Infant Education children is this one:

The teacher will ask to the children what geometrical shapes they could see on the painting (circle, square, triangle). Children, in group or individually, will make geometrical shapes and they will take a picture. Then, the teacher will show them all the pictures and they will have those pictures available to create their own creation using screencast.

Moreover, the lesson reminds my when I had lessons in Primary education of how to use Photoshop. We were learning how to use it step by step, and every lesson we used to make different things. The teacher gave us a sheet what all the instruction and we did that activity and after that sent to the teacher. I remember that it was a lonely work. I have to recognize that now I do not remember very good how to use it, but it was nice to learn how to use Photoshop.

In conclusion, in my point of view, technology it can be a useful tool for teacher to use with our pupils in order to work in groups or by their own, with the teacher or every school together. It was very nice to know new websites and apps to implement in a future in our jobs.
